How does Smart Track prevent buddy punching?
Every clock-in and clock-out is validated three ways: the device location must be inside the project geofence, a photo of the worker is captured, and the worker signs on screen. Supervisors see all three on the entry before approving it.
Do I need to buy special time clock hardware?
No. Smart Track runs in the browser. Any tablet with GPS and a camera can be set up as an on-site kiosk, and office staff use the dashboard from any computer.
Does it calculate overtime and per diem automatically?
Yes. Regular and overtime hours are calculated from approved entries, and per diem and reimbursements are added to the weekly payroll. W2 and 1099 workers are processed separately.
Can I bill my clients from the same data?
Yes. Gross billing uses the approved hours together with the rates you configure per client, project and role, so invoices reflect exactly what happened in the field.
What happens when a worker forgets to clock out?
